Can You See Me?

Spread pages from the Can You See Me? booklet. Panel designs for exhibition held at Mansion House.

The exhibition Can You See Me? is the result of a series of workshops developed with young people ranging from 13 to 17 years old from CLICK (Children Living in Care Council) in Wandsworth Borough. The project is the work of our friends at The Verbatim Formula – a collaborative participatory arts project that has developed verbatim theatre techniques to share the voices of care-experienced young people.

Together with creative practitioners, they created poems, recordings and artworks to give an intimate and strong expression of their experience as individuals at the photo exhibition and booklet, “Can You See Me?

Our work for this project included designing the accompanying booklet and exhibition panels. The booklet was designed to include all the poems, photography and artworks that the young people produced – alongside QR codes which could be scanned to hear the poems spoken by some of the young researchers. For the print run decided to use Newspaper Club’s new small size newsprint format, which had a great feel to it.
