Spiegeltent

Since 2015 we have been working with the wonderful Christmas at the Spiegeltent. Based in Bristol the Spiegeltent is a firm favourite on the South West’s social calendar with a fantastic venue at a great location on Bristol’s Harbourside. They host a range of events during their season from live music to cabaret, to parties and DJ’s, with the emphasis on fun, dressing up and having a good time.

A Spiegeltent (Dutch for “Mirror Tent”, from spiegel+tent) is a large travelling tent, constructed in wood and canvas, decorated with mirrors and stained glass. They were built in Belgium during the late 19th and early 20th Centuries with beautiful designs in Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles. Only around  twenty of them still operate today.

For the last two years we have produced Spiegeltent’s marketing materials in print and for social media. In these campaigns the client wanted us to convey the opulence and rich atmosphere of this special venue, while at the same time draw in audiences to its fun and friendly events. To fit the brief we created a range of illustrations featuring classic cabaret acts; flapper dancers, jazz dance and performance in an art deco style alongside complimentary typography to get across the vintage chic party vibe. Alongside the main line-up of parties and events we were also asked to create linked identities for other event strands such their Craft Beer Festival, Kid’s Events and NYE Party.
